• Full adoption of pinyin learning for primary 1 and primary 2 students;
• Use of multi-dimensional activities to create language environment to nurture students’ listening and speaking skills;
• Stress on standard language to nurture linguistic sense;
• Cultivate interest in learning and to nurture good learning attitudes and habits.

In order to enhance pupils’ interest in learning Putonghua and to develop a good attitude towards learning and good learning habits, we adopt diversified teaching methods and encourage pupils to participate in school and inter-school activities, such as Hong Kong Speech Festival and Putonghua Public Speaking Competitions, Putonghua day, Putonghua Broadcast show and exchange programmes in China. For our school’s Putonghua education, our curriculum will be constantly improved in order to raise the Putonghua skills of the students.
